1.                 This Bolt-on X & Z Axis ball screw kit is designed and built by BDTOOLSUSA to convert your Grizzly G0768 8X16 manual lathe to CNC using the mounts and ball screws supplied in this listing.  All parts are custom made to assure proper fit and are designed to install into the original Mounting holes  ... NOTICE ..   This kit will require minor machine work on the front of cross slide for COUPLER clearance and additional 3 tapped holes in rear of cross slide to allow rear mounting extension plate of the ball screw to bolt up .That's it .... Contact me prior, for I do supply this information on the install instructions for you.  If you are unable to do this machine work, I can do it for a reasonable price, and this one part will fit and ship in a small flat rate USPS box.  The Z axis will mount up in original holes and does not require any additional work to install. 

       The Threading function if needed can be made possible by installing a spindle encoder design of your choice . I do not sale any electronics ,encoders , ect .

A ) Both X and Z Axis come with   linearmotionbearings2008  style  Ball screws .12mm on the X axis .16 mm on the Z axis

B )  Designed  for 1/4 to 3/8 motor shafts. I would need to know this information before I can ship. 

C )  All Custom made aluminum parts come to you with a great looking machine finish as is and any other screws required are included in the kit.

X AXIS 

    The X axis is a Direct Drive setup with 2 shielded bearings along with a Oldham style 1/4 to 3/8 style I.D. Coupler. The X axis will install into the original holes along with new longer screws. The new rear cross slide mount will install in the new hole pattern I send with the install instructions.

Z AXIS 

The Z axis is a Direct Drive setup with a shielded Double row Angular Contact Bearing along with a OldHam style  1/4 to 3/8  I.D. Coupler. Depending on coupler supplier, Oldham coupler may differ slightly from pictures. This kit will come assembled and ready to install with minimum effort.

 

    This kit was crafted with care by an experienced tool and die maker to provide you with years of service and make useful parts on a really great machine.
