This kit has a ballscrew on the X and the Z Axis.

This kit will require drilling and tapping of holes in the saddle, cross slide, and the lathe bed end to mount this kit. These new tapped holes are larger and stronger than the original which will omit movement and make for a good solid mount. The Z axis will gain several more inches of travel movement on the bed end once the original mount is removed and the new mount is installed. On these shorter machines, that comes in handy. All information will be sent through e-mail after kit is purchased. If you are unable to do the hole patterns in the saddle and cross slide, contact me. Due to the design of the X axis, it will require to be disassembled and reassembled to go through the lathe saddle hole. I have some very good picture instructions that cover all of this. This kit will come ready to install on your 7X10", 7X12", and the 7X14" model Sieg lathe once you get the holes added that are required to mount this kit...... NOTICE!!! This listing is for one complete mechanical conversion of your Sieg manufactured mini lathe to Computer Numerical Control. This kit is well designed, and manufactured with care to produce the best quality results possible for the investment.

I have sold similar kits, and they have been installed on the HarborFreight , MicroMark, LittleMachineShop Sieg lathes, and other brands as well with no problems and no other instructions other than what I send with the kit by way of E-MAIL.

 The installation is simple, but it requires a careful attention to the details of hole-placement. It is well within the scope of abilities of anyone with a realistic objective to learn CNC.  It requires drilling and tapping 9 holes and opening up another for clearance.  These new tapped holes are larger and stronger than the original which will omit movement and make for a good solid mount. The Z axis will gain several more inches of travel movement on the bed end once the original mount is removed and the new mount is installed.

This kit is constructed from machined aluminum parts which feature an attractive machine finish that looks great on this setup. The bearings are high quality, and they are sealed for longevity. Both axis designs have a 1204 mm ballscrew with a new 1204mm ballscrew design for the X Axis. The CNC Flexible Plum Coupling 1/4 Shaft Couplers are included with the kit. Depending on the coupler supplier, couplers could differ slightly, but they will be same style and size.  The kit will arrive preassembled and ready for installation on either the 7x10", 7x12", or the 7x14" length bed Sieg models. The X axis will require a final assembly into your saddle after the mounting holes are done.  

This kit allows you to retain manual control of the Lathe, providing that dual-shaft motors are used.

The Threading function if needed can be made possible by installing a spindle encoder design of your choice . I do not sale any electronics ,encoders , ect .

This kit will work great with NEMA 23 size stepper-motors 1/4 SHAFT ( 270oz ) range motors as are used in the video demos in this listing. (THE LATHE, CONTROLLER, AND STEPPER MOTORS ARE NOT INCLUDED AND ARE FOR DISPLAY & DEMO ONLY) which can be purchased together or separate with a controller kit.
